A Wallflower I am (Found Poem)

Standard

This is our friend Charlie,

I feel visible

The room was very quite smoky

I was the youngest, and I am known to have once a beer

And I just didn’t like it.

I am a freshmen, and I don’t now just yet

I saw Bob passing around food.

Would you like a brownie?

Yes. Thank You.

Thirty minutes, the room started to slip away from me.

I started blinking a lot and looking around, and the music sounded heavy like water.

“Are you seeing anything Charlie?” Sam said

“Light.”

I don’t think they would have laughed any harder

And everyone in the room erupted in laughter, “He’s stoned”.

Promises make unstoppable love
Really, they make our relationship the best
I miss our silly discussions
Creating a bond between each other
Every time I picture us together, my heart beats faster
Letting my emotions threw
Expressing my love throughout words and signs
Seeing you makes me happy
Spending time with you completes me

#2

Every time I see him I blush
Notably in love since the start
Caring for each other no matter what
Having spent time with him brings me a smile
Accepting each other despite our defects
Not aware of the consequences
Together we will be
Everyday waiting for the end
Daydreaming of him, and his magical

Unfaithfulness (Color Collective Poem)

According to the laws of Feng Shui,
A bed positioned to face the door is most inopportune, being the same direction
One is placed upon dying-feet pointed at the exist

He felt sick and tried to sleep again
Relaxed and breathed a sigh
The room was dark and silent
And he could still taste the lie

He laid there dazed and lazy
Feeling the darkness in that night

He sat up and rubbed his eyes
And looked over at his side
When he didn’t see her
A fear crept up inside

He knew something was wrong
She is never up this late

He cleared every noise running in her ears to listen
Hoping she could hear him
But couldn’t hear a thing
Only fear

He stood up and walked to the door
And pause one more time
Again he heard no sound

It came from downstairs somewhere
And he knew she must be here
He went down the stairs to find her
And grab another beer

He went down the stairs slowly
And turned the corner to the hall
He stopped and stood silent
His body frozen in shock
His mind trying to comprehend
As time ticked off the clock

He watched the look of pleasure
The passion in her eye
As she took everything he had
And gave it to another guy

His body began to tremble
His emotions ran hot

The pain was too much for him
And he began to fade

He prayed the dark would come
And take him away
He would not have to feel this
For even one lonely day

His body shook and he knew
That his time was near
It was there ending
