There’s No Sin For Injustice

Standard

To Kill a Mockingbird is one of those books in which will never stop being a good book and will never stop inspiring people. To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the greatest novels of all times written by the American author Harper Lee. The scenario of the book is settled during the period of the Great Depression in the 1930’s, and focuses its location in southern Alabama in a small town named Maycomb County. This was the time were the American dream was moving further away. The theme of racism brings the book to represent the perception of sin, injustice and how people prejudice based on people’s looking.

The book was based on a story to commemorate the days of racism that took place in the 1930’s. A girl named Jean Louis Finch known as Scout narrates this story. Harper Lee wants Scout to sound as she was an old women but the perspective of the book was from a small girl who was just learning about life and its conflicts. This made me as a reader have some confusions of what was happening in its book.

There were two things happening in the book. Scout was having the best adventures around his brother Jem and his friend Dill on summer looking for clues to the truth behind the house of the Radley’s, and its habitant who is locked inside the house from everybody (Boo Radley). While also her father Atticus playing his role of a lawyer founds himself defending an innocent black man for raping a teenager.

Harper Lee tries to guide us through the reality of how mean and disrespectful humans could be with each other and makes us reflect to be better people. I really liked the book because it makes us connect with the story, seeing how people fight and want freedom in life as Harper Lee stand up for in real life as in TKAM. TKAM made me believes in trust, family, and love no matter what inconvenient comes to your live. If people are against one of your familiars for something they haven’t done, we put ourselves in the same shoes as them and fight for it together.

What I actually would’ve expected more was from the ending of the book were it appear the point were restated the opening of the book and leave me with the desire of wanting more.

I really encourage the people who haven’t read this book to give it a try. It’s a magnificent and valuable book that gives an important life lesson. As Atticus could see the innocence and humanity in Scout, tkam

, Boo Radley, and other characters throughout the book he was able to accept people the way they are. He’s human and he sees everybody else in the same way. And it isn’t fair for extraordinary people to have injustice that’s why ‘It’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.’

The Power of Injustice

Standard

It is the bad treatment and tradition,

whites have for an innocent negro.

Is he guilty or not?

This results to an expected lie

and a hidden truth.

Mayella tells the story like a great fish on a dry land,

everybody expects to believe to.

Tom tells the story as counting stars.

But now the fishy went back to the ocean,

while for Tom, there was anymore starts to accompany him.

To Kill a Mockingbird – Found Poem

Atticus,

The born, bred, betrayed of Macomb County.

The one who new his people,

Is recognized as the nigger-lover

Leaves the Finch’s ashamed of their name.

Atticus,

Said naming people after confederate general,

Made slow steady drinkers.

Ignorant, trashy people use it to talk above themselves

But he will ignored them till the truth’s told.

Just folks are better when you are older.

Atticus is the one and only

That his right mind never takes pride in his talents

Light Guides You to Heaven- English Article

‘One of the most admirable effects of Holy Communion is to preserve the soul from sin, and to help those who fall through weakness to rise again. It is much more profitable, then, to approach this divine Sacrament with love, respect, and confidence, than to remain away through an excess of fear and scrupulosity.’
–St. Ignatius of Loyola

Slice of Life Thursday (Poem)

When I will leave, I will not be waiting for you

When I will not be there, you don’t have to come back

We will both feel freedom for a while

For you not to come…or having to wait… I

We will have no more time to be together

Probably by not seeing me you remember more about me

Maybe then we will realize

That was the des meeting that joined us

When I am fully gone, everything will change

All my dark suffering, I will take it with me

Soon any floating memory of me will stay

Taking new opportunities can be a risky think to do

But, I did take them

No more random laughing, no more happiness

Starting all again is the hardest

Gets you blind and then turns you to thoughtful again

And makes you feel in the very deep darkness of a well

Until you get to adapt to the environment

How many suffering in the silence I lived…difficult to accept the truth

To feel and believe that the reality was what I … saw and hear

Don’t more “habla causa”, “que xopa” came to replace

No more complaining of the “que frio”, “el que calor” was on the mode

The suffering is on the stalking and you have to learn how to sort it out

Keep a large space for happiness for the present, in whatever place in the world

Everyone’s got a certain spot that is guiding a new life to experience

Until you finally feel the right comfortableness that makes you stronger

And just keeps you remembering the past, living the present to the fullest

Just keep forward.

Graceful and Small

imageIn English class we needed to do a collage that illustrates our selves. Each of us included things that represent our hobbies and ourselves. My collage reflects how a Polaroid camera shows my love for photography and how I want to keep photography in my heart, the primarily thing I want to study in the future. Then the drawing of the Polaroid camera reflects the different photos and images showing my family, my hobbies, and things that I enjoy looking at and talk about.

I chose different objects and people such as drawing one polaroid camera, image of a cup of Starbucks, a photo of the cast of the X factor 2012, a girl dressed as a panda, The Beatles, my family, a map of the world, my best friends from both countries Peru and Panama, myself when I was little, a photo with my brother, a photo of me swimming at the swimming gala, and my nickname written by myself. These things represent a lot for me and have a meaning inside of them instead of being just colorful pictures and drawings you can find in the Internet. I chose them because they are the ones who make me the most happy when I think of and also because make me remember that I that’s the way I was raised by my self it was by developing my own identity.

Each of the things I mention has that one particular meaning on them. The cup of Starbucks represents my addiction to Starbucks food and products I loved Starbucks smell makes me feel free. The cast of the X factor 2012 shows how entertained I am by watching reality shows and see what people can do in real life, different talents that everyone wants to see. The girl dressed like a panda is my favorite animal and also combines the immaturity and cuteness that it is know becoming mature at this period of my life. One of the important ones The Beatles they show passion for old music, sincerely I love hearing old music in the car is so funny and interesting and my favorites are the Beatles.

Also photos from my best friends in Panama and Peru. They show my identity because they are the ones who know the best of myself and the ones who I can count on or to vent with. There’s a photo when I was little. Represents the evolution since the beginning to who am I right now. Adding to the photo when I was a little baby there is also a photo with my brother when we were little. It shows the siblinghood and powerful twin reality and how we love our selves and still in fights but never hate each other.

Also there is a photo of me in the Met’s swimming gala. It represents the perfection and athletic I am. The perfection because how I dive in the water shows a lot of precision and concentration wanting to get everything right that’s how I am, and I also can be very competitive for that reason. The athletics because I always try new sports and I really like them I can’t live without doing some exercise. The sports keep me away from education for a while they are one of the important hobbies in my entire life. Then, comes my family they represent ascendance and culture the world map pointing on Spain and Italy are my families ascendance we considered our selves part of both countries, that’s why I have a Italian passport, but we still are surely known %100 percent Peruvians. Finally the most important one my nickname, it is the most important one because I don’t like too much my name it’s two names in one and people only consider it as one, sometimes I get mad because they start to call me Ana. That’s the reason my name is really important to me I love it and sounds like the real me, not too classy.

Finally, in my collage I showed different aspects of the use of art especially its elements and principles. In the principles I had the idea to use a unity and emphasis. Unity because all the images and drawings connected together into one piece. They had a harmony, which created a sense of completeness and enthusiasm. The emphasis because the nucleon of the Polaroid reflected all the images in the collage, the one who cached the viewers attention and was cut in the center to show that difference of color and material between the camera and the images. In the elements my collage contained color, space, and specially shape. The color were shown allover the collage especially were a mix of pastel colors like girly colors. The space was approach in all the collage and showed depth and feeling into the collage made it significant and people see it in a heart felt manner. And finally the shape was shown everywhere circles and geometric figures were formed for the format of the pictures and showed a connection between them that make the work awesome.
